EXECUTIVE BOARD

President - Emerson G. Drakes

Emerson was born in Barbados, West Indies and has been living in the United States (Hartford area) for the past 31 years. He has been a member of the Hartford Chapter for over ten years. He is an experienced Senior Manager in the field of Global Strategic Sourcing and is a member of the Institute for Supply Management. He is a former employee of United Technologies Corporation where he spent 17 years and is now currently employed by Alstom Power, Inc as a Sr. Project Procurement Manager. Emerson has an MBA in Marketing and an M.S in International Business from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a member of the Urban League of Greater Hartford and sits on the Urban Youth Empowerment Program Advisory Committee. He is a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity where he is a member of the Officer’s Council.
